A few weeks ago I presented the application Romanian history which had the role of helping you learn the history of our country, but now I also present it to you History of Moldova, an application with a similar functionality, which runs on the same terminals.
Moldova, officially known as the Republic of Moldova, is a state located in southeastern Europe and borders Romania to the west and Ukraine to the east. The Republic of Moldova has an outlet to the Danube on a strip of 340 meters at its southern end. During the dismemberment of the Soviet Union, the Republic of Moldova declared its independence on August 27, 1991. On July 29, 1994, the first constitution of Moldova was adopted. Since 1990, a portion of Moldova's territory located on the eastern bank of the Dniester River is under the de facto control of the Transnistrian separatist regime.
The Republic of Moldova is a parliamentary republic with a president as head of state and a prime minister as head of government. Moldova is a member state of the United Nations, European Council, Partnership for Peace, WTO, OSCE, GUAM, CIS, OCEMN and other international organizations. The Republic of Moldova aspires to join the European Union, and has already implemented the first 3-year Action Plan within the European Neighborhood Policy.
