The iPad Mini is starting to register better sales than the iPad tablets with a 9.7-inch screen

iPad Mini it was launched on the market in October of this year and so far it seems to be very successful, a recent NPD study confirming this. According to that study, companies that produce screens for tablets recorded a significant increase in sales of screens with a diagonal of 7/7.9 inches and a significant decrease in sales of screens of 9.7 inches. This trend suggests that tablets such as iPad Mini, and not only that, they are starting to sell better than other iPad tablets with 10.1 inch screens.

For Apple, the news is not great, because iPad Mini tablets have a lower selling price and generate less profit than normal iPad tablets, but it was expected that the sales of tablets with a 9.7-inch screen will decrease. Apple probably did not expect this to happen so early, but now it matters less, considering that consumer preferences are different. The basis is two things: accessing a market where users did not have money for an iPad and chose the iPad Mini, and a change in the preferences of those who wanted the iPad with a 9.7-inch screen, but chose the iPad Mini.

iPhones have decimated iPod sales, iPad tablets have decimated Mac sales, and iPad Mini tablets are decimating sales of regular iPad tablets.
