UniversalMediaImporter is a tweak launched last night in Cydia, and with its help we can transfer music, ringtones or movies in the Music application without iTunes. The tweak works with applications already available in the Apple App Store and the transfer is made directly to our iDevices, without connecting the terminal to iTunes. The video clip above shows the entire procedure as clearly as possible, but at the moment only the Downloads Downloader, Downloads Lite and UnlimDownloads applications, from the App Store, are compatible with this tweak.
Requires iOS 5 or higher. UniversalMediaImporter is a MobileSubstrate extension that allows you to import media files (mp4,m4v,mp3,m4r) to iTunes from your favorite app store apps! You can now import movies, tv-shows, songs and ringtones from the apps you use the most and best of all its FREE! This project relies on the Gremlin framework and abides by its license by being both free and open source.
