TapTapSee – the application for iOS that recognizes the objects in an image and recites their name

TapTapSee is an application launched two weeks ago in App Store, it being developed especially for people with visual impairments. The idea is to help them discover the objects around them much more easily, but only after taking a picture with the terminal. The application is able to identify objects and American banknotes, and for the blind it is perhaps the best method to find out what is around them, the application reciting the names of the objects it identifies.

TapTapSee is a lightweight application designed to help the visually impaired and blind community identify objects they encounter in their daily lives. Once the user takes a picture of what is in front of them, the application identifies and speaks the identification back to the user*. The application also features instant recognition on all US paper currency.

TapTapSee is available for free in the App Store, but it was designed to work only on iPhone / iPod Touch.
