Gmail 2.1 update brings the possibility to use swipes and to interact quickly with several messages

gmail 2.1 update was released during this evening in App Store by company Google, and it brings two important news for iDevice owners who use this service. The first novelty is the possibility to use side swipes to switch from one email to another without reaching the inbox, and the second one allows us to perform actions on several messages more quickly with the help of an edit mode which is activated as soon as we access a message. The Gmail application for iOS is available for free in the App Store in universal format.

• Swipe left or right to move between messages without returning to the inbox
• Take action on multiple messages more quickly: Selecting a message in the inbox now enables edit mode. Once in edit mode, tap on messages to select them and then choose to archive, delete, or more, from the new actions bar. You may select Cancel at any time to leave edit mode.

And of course: performance improvements and bug fixes
