Apple is preparing to launch a controller for the games available in the App Store

For years it has been rumored that Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), would release a controller for the games available in App Store, and the company seems to be prepared to bring the device to the market in the near future. to Games Developer Conference 2013 those of the Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), they rented a conference room and talked with representatives of important game developer companies, the main topic of discussion being the future controller. Apple is trying to ensure that this new controller will have the support of application developers, so it will not work from the start with games from the App Store.

Of course, there's no official word yet, but Apple has been active during the conference talking to developers about its plans and ensuring plenty of games will support the joypad at launch. It's been operating a meeting room at the show, albeit booked under a pseudonym company name to avoid media attention. However, speaking anonymously, multiple developer sources have confirmed the news.

None of the developers contacted by Apple have seen the controller from Apple and it is not known with which of the iDevices it would be compatible for now. It is expected that Apple would provide the first official details about the controller in April and if Apple will really launch such an accessory for its terminals, then the company will do nothing but catch up with its competition. Samsung launched a similar device for its Galaxy smartphone line, Apple probably won't surpass it with important functions, but the Korean competitor will catch up.

UPDATED: It seems that the meetings between Apple and developers have nothing to do with the possible release of a game controller.
