Vodafone has 403 million customers worldwide and is surpassed only by China Mobile in terms of the number of customers. For American companies, the risk is very high, but Vodafone is a profitable company that is not in any situation that would force the management to sell it, but those from Verizon and AT&T are confident that they can successfully buy the company.
