Vodafone could be acquired by Verizon and AT&T

Vodafone it is the second largest operator in the world, and soon could be purchased and shared between the companies Verizon and AT&T, both from the USA. 245 billion dollars would be the value based on which Vodafone could be sold to the two American companies, the figure being 100 billion dollars higher than the value of the company's stock market capitalization. According to the agreement between Verizon and AT&T, the first company would take over Vodafone's US business and assets, and AT&T would take over the rest of the business around the globe.

Vodafone has 403 million customers worldwide and is surpassed only by China Mobile in terms of the number of customers. For American companies, the risk is very high, but Vodafone is a profitable company that is not in any situation that would force the management to sell it, but those from Verizon and AT&T are confident that they can successfully buy the company. In Romania, Vodafone is the second operator of the local market, with almost 8 million customers, being surpassed only by Orange Romania.
