iOS 6 has been installed on 92% of iDevices according to the creators of Unity Engine

Unity engine is one of the most popular graphics engines based on which games for mobile terminals, Temple Run, CSR Racing, Ravensword, and many other titles are developed being developed in its base. Considering that many applications run this graphic engine, its developers thought of publishing a series of statistics regarding the operating systems and hardware they run on. Based on their statistics, iOS 6 has already been installed on 92% of iDevices from Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, the remaining 8% remaining to the old operating systems.

On Android, Samsung is king with 55% of the market. No wonder it takes most of the Android profits I guess. On iOS, Apple has 100% share (shocking right?). There is no clear leader in device model; iPhone 4S (18%), iPhone 5 (16%), iPad 2 (16%), iPhone 4 (14%), iPod Touch 4 (10%). Android is big in the United States (18%), China (13%), Korea (12%), Japan (6%), Russia (4%), Taiwan (4%) – mostly Asia. iOS is big in United States (30%), United Kingdom (10%), China (7%), Russia (4%), Canada (4%), Germany (4%) – mostly “western world".

Regarding iDevices, 98% run a version of iOS that is not much older than 1 year, and iPhone 4S is currently the most popular Apple smartphone, but it will be surpassed by iPhone 5 in the following months. If we make a comparison with Android, there only 33% of terminals have the latest version of the operating system, and Samsung is the absolute leader in terms of smartphone manufacturing.
