I was at the launch yesterday Orange Cloud, I had the opportunity to see how well a iPhone 5 on the network LTE 4G those from Orange Romania. In Piata Victoriei, the terminal reaches speeds of up to 40 Mbps for download and up to 20 Mbps for upload, the speeds being higher than those obtained by me on a 4G USB stick of Orange in the same location. In January, I participated in the presentation of the 4G truck, and the tablets exhibited there reached speeds of up to 30 Mbps download and 20 Mbps upload, so in the meantime it seems that the network has been improved.
Unfortunately, I did not have the opportunity to test the network LTE 4G those from Vodafone or Cosmote, but I imagine that the difference is not that big in the case of Vodafone, the operator having a network that theoretically should be faster than that of Orange Romania. For now, only Orange and Vodafone have public 4G LTE networks in Romania, Vodafone has coverage in several cities in the country, Orange only covers Bucharest and Valea Prahova, and Cosmote is currently preparing the national launch of the 4G LTE network.
