Almost a week ago I told you that Apple initiated a promotion to celebrate reaching 50 billion downloads made by App Store from the summer of 2009 until now. In the past days until now, almost 400 million downloads have been registered from App Store, and if the pace is maintained, then by next Thursday the 50 billion downloads will be reached, one lucky person will win an iTunes Gift Card worth $10.000, and another 50 lucky people will each win an iTunes Gift Card worth $500 .
Practically, until today, an average of almost 67 million daily downloads from the App Store was registered and the figure is considerable, considering that we are talking about a single application store. Although Apple is now celebrating 50 billion downloads, by the end of the year more than 60 billion downloads will be recorded if we take into account the fact that the current download rate will be maintained in the coming months.
