Bucharest, May 13, 2013. On May 13, Orange celebrates 2 years since the first launch in Romania of HD Voice technology, with which customers enjoy excellent sound quality during calls.
On this occasion, those who wish to purchase on May 13 a phone compatible with HD Voice technology from the Orange portfolio will benefit from a 10 euro discount when concluding a subscription or when extending the existing one. Customers can buy phones from the Orange shop, from the online store or from Orange partners.
In the two years, the Orange portfolio has been permanently enriched, now having approximately 50% HD Voice compatible phones, and the number of HD Voice calls has registered a constant increase. In April, the number of HD Voice calls was 7 times higher compared to the same period last year, reaching a total of over 70 million calls in the two years. The adoption rate of HD Voice compatible phones increased in April 3 times compared to the percentage recorded in the same period last year.
In addition, after the international premiere in October 2012 when the first HD call between two countries was initiated, Orange customers from Romania and the Republic of Moldova can make international calls with HD Voice quality between the two countries.
