Orange TV will have 29 HD stations, twice as many as the competition

I told you last week that Orange Romania has already requested from CNA the approval for the retransmission of 99 TV stations through the DTH and OTT systems. Yesterday those from ZF they found out that among the 99 TV stations, 29 will be HD and practical Orange-TV would offer 2 times more HD TV stations than any of the other local competitors. Yesterday the people from CNA approved the request of the Orange company, and now the operator is going to officially announce its plans, together with the subscriptions for future customers.

Orange Romania, the leader of the local telecommunications market, will try to make its way on the local TV services market - clearly dominated by RCS&RDS, Romtelecom and UPC - coming with a different service offer that includes, for example, a number of 29 TV stations in HD format - twice as much as what rivals on the market propose, show the documents submitted by the company to the National Audiovisual Council (CNA) to obtain the retransmission approval. The total number of TV stations delivered through the platform will be 99, according to data from CNA.

Issy Les Moulineaux is the location from which Orange-TV would rebroadcast all 99 stations that the customers' equipment, the operator seems to be interested in entering a premium segment of the market. Considering that we are talking about a satellite retransmission and the offering of TV on mobile terminals, the prices of the subscriptions will not be that affordable for users, this in contrast to the rest of the competitors where the average price of a subscription is €5-7 € monthly.

Within Orange, no one provides information about Orange-TV, but I don't think it will be long until we find out all the details related to the new services.
