More than half of Apple's MacBook Air models are unavailable at one of the major US retailers

Week I told you that MacBook Airs are starting to disappear from the offers of major US retailers, and today we find out that more than half of the models sold by Apple are unavailable in the Amazon offer. As one of the largest American retailers, Amazon usually has any Mac in stock, but considering that WWDC 2013 is approaching and Apple would launch new models of the MacBook Air, it is normal for the units to be unavailable now, as the company is preparing the new models.

Practically, at Amazon only the MacBook Air with 11.6-inch screen and 128 GB of space, plus the basic MacBook Pro with 13-inch screen, are still in stock, the same is happening at retailers MacMall, MacConnection, Best Buy or J&R. The unavailability of these products is a very good indicator that the MacBook Air is going to be updated, but you should only expect new hardware and nothing else.
