In iOS 7 Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), thought that we need a new method to close or view open applications in the background, so it was decided to implement another task switcher. Taking some ideas from Auxo, Apple offers us the option to view applications open in the background with a preview window in which we see the last screen of the application before closing it. We can swipe through the applications open in the background to switch from one to another, we can swipe from the bottom up to close them, and a simple tap on any application opens it immediately.
Practically nothing else exists in this new task switcher, the rest of the options from the old one have been moved in control Center, so the task switcher will be dedicated only to interacting with applications open in the background.
