Apple is testing an iPad Mini 2 tablet with an A6 chip, but without Retina Display

iOS beta versions are always good indicators of the iDevices that Apple is testing, and in iOS beta 7 4 a proof was discovered that confirms the fact that Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), test a version of iPad Mini 2 which does not have Retina Display, but it has face A6 integrated. Versions tested by Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), have the code names iPad2,8, iPad2,9 si iPad2,10, their versions being J75, J76 si J77. Making a comparison with the model now sold on the market that has the code names iPad2,5, iPad 2,6 and iPad 2,7, it is clear that in iOS 7 we have brand new devices that are ready for launch.

Based on the same information available in iOS beta 7 4, It seems that the new versions of the iPad Mini will contain the A6 chip, according to the name of the process s5l8950x. Unfortunately, they would not have Retina Display and this is "proven" by the fact that there are no @2x images for them, but also by the fact that the versions tested by Apple are different from the J85 that would have Retina Display. Apart from all this, it seems that these versions of the iPad Mini will have the exact same baseband chip as the model available now on the market, so the changes will be minor.

Although no one knows for sure what Apple will do, there is a possibility that in the fall Apple will release a version of the iPad Mini that only has new hardware, and that in the spring it will release a version that also has a Retina Display.
