My Orange Account - how I manage and find out information about the Orange subscription directly from my iPhone

  In 2010 Orange Romania launch in App Store the first version of the application My account(which you can download following this link), being the first mobile phone operator in Romania that offered iDevice owners the option to manage their subscription on the go using a mobile terminal. With the help of a webcare account registered through orange.ro website, anyone can use My Account application to manage their subscriptions or prepaid cards, or to get access to the sections with important information offered by Orange Romania, the application having an interface specially designed to be used on your mobile terminals, whether they are iDevices or Android terminals .

  When accessing the application, you will be greeted on the first screen by a simple menu in which you have listed the main 9 accessible sections after logging into your own account, but also the option to register a new account. In what follows, I will talk about each of them, but also about the help and store discovery sections, which are available in two separate screens, accessible through the menu bar placed at the bottom of the application.

  No matter through which of the 9 submenus you access the application, in the end you will reach the main one which quickly provides you with information about the payment amount for the last invoice, the date by which you can pay it, the points Orange Thank You accumulated for payments, their value in the Orange online store, information about your options directly from Cronos, the possibility to view detailed information about the subscription/subscriptions, and at the bottom of the page you have direct links to the other sections available for access.

Orange Cloud

  The first option available for access gives you information about the service Orange Cloud, and if you already have it active, you can find out how much available space you have for uploading files, you can associate usernames to access the mobile application, you can find out detailed information about the service and you can choose a higher tariff plan to meet your needs. If you do not have the service active, you can activate it directly from the application.

OrangeCare

  In this section you will have the opportunity to quickly administer the services Backup SIM, Orange Antivirus si Orange Content Lock. Orange Backup SIM offers you the possibility, if you have purchased the Backup Kit service package for 1.5 euros per month, to exchange your existing SIM with the spare one, directly from your Orange account, from wherever you are. On the spare SIM you will recover from the first moment both the contacts and all the services you had on the old SIM.

  Orange Antivirus is dedicated to owners of Android terminals and offers them free protection against viruses and malicious applications, through a special application developed by Bitdefender. In addition, if you lose your phone, you can locate it, block it or delete information from it, directly from your Orange account.

In the end, the service remains Orange Content Lock which offers parents the opportunity to guide and protect their children in the online environment. The main functions of the application are monitoring and filtering the content used by the child on the Android phone, and to use the service you can activate the special option for 1,5 euros per month on the child's number.

Invoices and Payments

  As its name suggests, the invoices and payments section is designed to give you quick access to paid/unpaid invoices issued for your subscription. To begin with, you have the possibility to pay the bill online directly from your iDevice, a credit card capable of making online payments being necessary for this. After paying the invoice, you can access the Invoice History subsection to see a detailed list of all invoices issued for your subscription/subscriptions, with the option to download them in PDF format.

Consum

  If you have ever typed *115# in the Phone application of iPhones, then you know what you will see in the section Consum, showing information available in Cronos regarding the minutes/SMS/Internet traffic available to you.

Subscriptions and options

  If you want to quickly view detailed information about the cost of the monthly subscription and the active options for it, then through this section you will find out everything, it will show you a detailed list of them right from the moment you access it. Apart from it, you have the possibility to modify any of the active options and to activate new options, two subsections showing you everything that can be administered for your phone number.

  Activating/deactivating the options is done immediately, without contacting a telephone operator, so be careful what you choose to do, because then you will have to ask Orange for help to fix some errors. At the end of this section we have the possibility to view Favorite numbers set for our account and to manage them, if you have any set.

Services

  By accessing this section, you will have the opportunity to find out the status of the options listed in the image above and to activate/deactivate them as appropriate, whether it is the roaming service, call forwarding or unlocking the card using the PUK code, the options being activated/deactivated immediately .

Orange Thank You

  As you already know very well, Orange offers you points Thank you upon payment of each invoice issued, these points can be used for various purchases, or for the payment of invoices issued over time. The section accessible through the My Account application will give you the opportunity to see how many Thank You points you have accumulated over time and how much they are worth in the online store.

Reload

  You have certainly needed to quickly top up your or someone else's prepay card many times and wished you had a simpler menu available than the Self Care accessible through the Phone application. Well, using My Account application you have at your disposal an intuitive interface that in 3 simple steps will allow you to top up your account. Moreover, the application will give you the possibility to set monthly recharges for certain numbers, to see a list of all the recharges made by you over time from the mobile application and to transfer credit to anyone you want.

Account Settings

  As the name suggests, this section offers you the possibility to view the managed phone numbers and what level of access you have for them, but also to quickly find out what your personal data is, or to change the password through which you access the account webcare.

Shops

  I told you at the beginning that in the lower bar of the application you have two tabs, they are called: Shops si Help. In tab Shops you will see a list of all the Orange stores in our country, they are displayed grouped according to the zoom level made in the menu. The application has a small icon in the upper right part which, as soon as it is accessed, displays all the Orange stores in your vicinity, giving you the option to search for a store in your city and see it on the map as soon as you find it.

Help

  The last, but not the last, section available in My Account application it's called Help, and it gives you access to Orange Help, Orange Expert si Reviews.

  Orange Help is a section of the Orange website where you will find help for any of your questions, regardless of the company's service. In the discussion forums of those from Orange you will find information or questions and answers about any topics ranging from the Online store to the mobile internet, the company also having sub-forums for discussions and questions for the brands of mobile terminals that they sell in its network.

   Orange Expert is an interesting section of the Orange website, it offers users quick access to tutorials through which they can learn from Orange experts how to set up their Smartphone devices or how to explore the functions of the operating systems.. Orange Romania offers us video tutorials for each set of actions separately, so you can quickly learn how to sync with iTunes, how to set up the Internet connection and not only that.

  Reviews is the last section that I will talk about today, in it the Orange company has listed all the reviews left by users for the mobile terminals purchased by them over time, so there you will find the most honest opinions of people about terminals purchased from the Orange network.

  As you can already see from this review, My Account application it is extremely complex and offers you the possibility to access extremely many components of the Orange website, and if you have not yet installed it on your iDevices, I recommend that you do so, because it has evolved a lot since the launch that took place in 2010.
