The Samsung Galaxy S5 could contain a sensor that scans the retina

Although it was rumored that Samsung Galaxy S5 it will contain a fingerprint reader, it seems Samsung could include in the terminal or a sensor that will scan the retina of the users' eyes instead of fingerprints. For now, it is only known that this technology will be used to unlock the terminals, just like that touch IDof those from Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, but it could probably also be used for mobile payments, especially since Apple does not offer this functionality for iPhone 5S.

Until now there is no information about the specifications of the Galaxy S5 but according to our sources and Korean reports, the Samsung Galaxy S5 will feature an Eye-Scanning unlock capability which lets the users to unlock their Samsung Galaxy S5 via scanning their eyes . According to the rumors, Samsung has started working on the sensor that will be equipped on the Samsung Galaxy S5 to allow the users to protect their device more like never before. Unfortunately, there is no information on how this Eye-Scanning sensor will work.

It would not be unusual for Samsung to implement such a sensor in its smartphones since it already offers a system that follows the gaze to start/stop the playback of videos and scroll pages, but we are talking about something much more complex. For Samsung, the leap to such a technology would be quite big and would offer a real advantage over Apple or HTC, who probably will not choose to use a system of this kind, especially if its implementation will not be useful.
