Apple starts a new trend in the smartphone industry

Once every 2 years, the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), initiates a new trend in the smartphone industry, and after the assistant Crab from 2011, in 2013 we have touch ID. HTC was the first manufacturer of Android terminals to launch a smartphone with a fingerprint reader immediately after the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, but it won't be the last. Conformable a published study by those from IHS iSuppli, this year more than 45 million smartphones with fingerprint readers will be sold, the figure will increase to 525 million units in 2017.

As it has done so often before, Apple Inc. is triggering a new technology boom, with its integration of a fingerprint sensor on the iPhone 5s inspiring a wave of imitators that will drive the market for fingerprint-enabled smartphones to soar in the coming years. A total of 525 million smartphones with integrated fingerprint sensors will ship in 2017, up from 45.7 million this year, according to the MEMS and Sensors Service at IHS Inc. (NYSE: IHS). Shipments this year will increase by a factor of 10 from a volume of 4.5 million in 2012, as presented in the attached figure.

Implementation method a touch ID and the ease with which the system can be used motivates Android terminal manufacturers to follow, once again, the example of those from Apple. This generates a substantial increase in sales of MEMS, microelectromechanical sensors, and next year almost all important smartphones will have such a sensor. It was quite logical for Android terminal manufacturers to implement one of its cool functions iPhone 5S, and this will do nothing but generate additional income for component manufacturers.
