Google allows the download of archives with the data of Gmail and Google Calendar accounts

  Through an announcement made today via the official blog gmail, company Google has notified the users of its services that they can now download archives with the information available in gmail si Google Calendar. The files will be available in MBOX and respectively iCalendar format, both of which can be loaded into the native Mail/Calendar applications of OS X, so that they can then be sent to iDevices. Today's decision by Google simplifies the procedure of changing a smartphone, regardless of the platforms between which the changes are made.

  Until recently, the Google company only allowed downloading data from YouTube, Google+, Google Drive and other accounts, but the inclusion of Gmail and Google Calendar represents an important change. Practically, these are two of the most important services of the Google company, and offering the possibility to download their data represents the fulfillment of some very old grievances of the users.
