Last year I told you about Sphero, a mechanical ball that anyone could control using an iPhone and an iOS app. The product from Orbotix proved to be very popular all over the world, so popular that this year at CES 2014 Sphero 2B was presented. In the image above you can see the new product and we are talking about a completely different assembly that can be controlled using the same mobile terminals. Sphero 2B it is made of a hard polycarbonate, it offers the possibility to replace the wheels/caps and not only that.
The interesting part is that Sphero 2B it has a speed of 4.2 meters per second and is extremely silent, so you can quickly guide it to any corner of your house without anyone else knowing. The device can also be used with some games that have implemented augmented reality, but their number is very small, so don't expect who knows what. Although it is present at CES 2014, Sphero 2B will arrive on the market only in the fall of this year and will have a selling price of $100.
