Apple and Samsung presidents to meet again in mediation session to end global legal disputes

At the end of last year, the first information appeared that they indicated that they were representatives of the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), si Samsung they started a new round of mediation for the conclusion of global legal disputes. At these discussions is going to participate including the presidents of the two companies, Tim Cook si Oh-Hyun Kwon, the first meeting to take place before February 19. The mediation discussions are part of an attempt by the two companies to reach an agreement before a trial that is to begin in March, an eventual agreement to exempt the companies from following this legal procedure.

Apple Inc and Samsung Electronics have agreed to attend a mediation session to be held on or before February 19, as they prepare to clash in court in March over smartphone patents. Apple CEO Tim Cook and Samsung CEO Oh-Hyun Kwon will attend the session with in-house lawyers only, according to a Wednesday court filing. Their legal teams had met on January 6 to "discuss settlement opportunities," the filing read.

This meeting that the presidents of the two companies are going to have is not the first in the history of the two companies, they have had similar interactions in the past, but unfortunately without any success. Considering the relationship between Samsung and Apple and the failures in the attempt to reach an agreement to end the legal disputes, it is unlikely that this time we will witness anything other than a failure. At the moment, Samsung owes 930 million dollars to Apple after losing two lawsuits in the US, but these discussions will not have any effect on this debt.
