Google Maps uses Waze to provide information about the fastest routes

Yesterday the company Google launched in App Store an update for the application Google Maps dedicated to our iDevices, the update bringing notifications of faster routes that are available to us. Although Google he did not specify how he obtains the information regarding these new routes, it seems that the infrastructure Waze is used for them. Google acquired Waze just a few months ago and is already using its data to improve Google Maps, and this function is just one of the future ones that will improve the user experience Google Maps.

Google implements multiple functions of Waze in Google Maps for various platforms and in the next period we can expect new updates that will add additional options. It was expected that Google would take these steps after spending over 1 billion dollars to acquire Waze, but it remains to be seen what other interesting things we will get.
