This is what revolutionary technology Apple has implemented in iOS 7

Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), brought to the attention of the whole world a good part of the new technologies and functions implemented in iOS 7 during the past year, but it was an extremely important one overlooked and today we will talk about her. The technology implemented by Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), is called Multipeer Connectivity, and in simple terms it can allow users to communicate with each other or to transfer files even when they do not have an available Internet connection. Now you will probably say that this is possible anyway using WiFi or Bluetooth connections, but things are just now starting to get interesting for us.

The Multipeer Connectivity framework provides support for discovering services provided by nearby iOS devices using infrastructure Wi-Fi networks, peer-to-peer Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth personal area networks and subsequently communicating with those services by sending message-based data, streaming data , and resources (such as files).

Using  Multipeer Connectivity we can communicate with any other people even when we are not near any WiFi HotSpot, even if we do not have an Internet connection and even if we are not in the Bluetooth range of our interlocutor. All the magic is based on the interconnection of iDevices that have applications with this technology implemented, so that we can communicate with anyone through other people's terminals, as long as they have active Multipeer Connectivity and have active WiFi or Bluetooth services.

More interesting is that through this connection to random users, and even unknown ones, we can also extend an Internet connection in an environment where it is not available, each iDevice being an interconnection node for the data transmitted by us. Practically every terminal becomes a data carrier even for other unknown terminals, the data networks created using this technology allowing the distribution of all data, theoretically safely, between users.

The technology is extremely interesting, even if Apple has not presented it in a very pompous way until now App Store there is already an application called FireChat which allows us to use it. Using this technology in most of the important App Store applications, anyone could quickly transmit data to other people even without an active Internet connection or without being near that user, but it all depends on the interest of the developers to implement it.
