The chairman of the board of directors of Samsung suffers a heart attack

  Lee Kun-hee, the president of the administrative board of Samsung and one of the most controversial people in South Korea, suffered a heart attack during this day at the age of 72. Although he is currently in a stable condition, Lee Kun-hee he needed a resuscitation and a surgical intervention following an acute myocardial infarction. Additional details about his state of health are not known, but the doctors claim that he will recover after the intervention.

  Lee Kun-hee is the richest man in South Korea and was twice sentenced to prison terms for tax evasion, being pardoned in both cases by the presidents of South Korea. Lee Kun-hee has been at the helm of the Samsung group for several decades and despite his health, he refused to leave his position as chairman of the board of directors, at least for the time being.
