Samsung remains the main supplier of screens for the iPad

Samsung was the leading supplier of Retina Displays for tablets iPad in Q1 2014, totaling no less than 62% of the total screens supplied to the factories Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), in the first three months of this year. More exactly, Samsung has provided 5.2 million Retina screens with a diagonal of 9.7 inches for iPad Air si iPad 4Those from LG providing 38% of the remaining screens used to assemble tablets. Although Apple has tried over time to reduce its dependence on Samsung, in the end it continues to rely mainly on Koreans.

The interesting part is that in Q4 2013 LG Display provided 61% of the total screens used to assemble iPad tablets, its percentage being reduced by 23% in favor of those from Samsung. Considering this change, it is quite clear that Apple was not satisfied with the quality of the screens offered by those from Samsung, a sign that similar changes could take place in the future and Apple could conclude partnerships with new manufacturers.
