iOS 8 beta 1 – how do I install it on my iPhone, iPad or iPod Touch?

iOS 8 beta 1 release is scheduled for Monday night, Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), releasing the first beta version of iOS 8 for developers of applications for the iOS platform. During the night from Monday to Tuesday iOS beta 8 1 will be available for download through the portal dedicated to developers Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, this being initially ONLY location where all builds iOS 8 will be available for download, they will then appear in various other locations.

iOS 8 beta 1 will NOT be available to install via OTA Update or iTunes, so do not think that you will be able to install it because it will not be displayed in either of these two environments. iOS 8 beta 1 will be officially released only for developers of applications for the iOS platform, but considering the way everything was organized in the past years, there is a possibility that any user can install it in their own terminals.

If you like to play and if you are willing to accept the risk that your terminal will require a new restore in case you cannot active in iOS 8 beta 1, then the installation procedure is simple. All you have to do is download an ipsw suitable for your terminal, have the latest version of iTunes, most likely a beta released on Monday, enter the terminal in DFU Mode and restore by holding down the shift key on the keyboard and pressing the Update button of iTunes in Windows or following a similar procedure, but pressing the option key Option + Update on Mac.

After finishing the installation, you should be able to activate the terminal without problems, but if it remains stuck in the activation menu, then you will have to register your terminal UDID in the account of an application developer for the iOS platform. Unfortunately iOS 8 beta 1 has little chance of being compatible with iPhone 4 or iPad 2, so if you have these devices it would be good to check compatibility.
