One of the functions that was not discussed by the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), for iOS 8 Messages is hidden inside the Settings application, allowing us to choose that the messages in the application are deleted automatically. You can see in the image above that in Settings>Messages>Store Messages we now have three options, they allow us to keep the messages permanently, for 30 days or a year.
After the expiration of the last two time periods, the application Messages it will automatically delete the messages and probably all the attachments received through them, without us getting tired. The idea behind this function is to automatically release the space occupied by the old messages and attachments that we no longer need, they occupy a very good part of the space available for installing applications, recorded multimedia content, etc.
The new function is available on iPhone, iPad si iPod Touch.
