The iMac 2014 will not allow RAM to be changed

iMac 2014 was launched yesterday by the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), and we are talking about a new one Cheap iMac whose price is $200 lower than that of the immediately following model. Although the performance of the processor is up to 80% lower than that of the immediately following model, iMac 2014 it still has a small problem regarding its RAM memory.

Now that we've had time to teardown the new iMac, unlike the $1,299 iMac, we found this iMac has the memory soldered to the motherboard removing any possibility of adding additional memory. Users will be permanently locked in to the 8GB of memory, as there is no Apple factory upgrade option.

After a first disassembly a iMac 2014, an Apple product service found that Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), he welded all those 8 GB RAM of the logic board of the new Mac, they cannot be changed by users. The even worse part is that the RAM cannot be increased before an order is placed by the customers, so in the end the customer is left with 8 GB RAM when buying iMac 2014.

Although the immediately following model of 21.5-inch iMac it requires a complicated process to change the RAM, at least it offers this option, but it seems that Apple does not intend to offer upgrade options for the cheap models.
