iPhone 6 will not be assembled by robots

During Monday I told you that Foxconn is going to purchase no less than 10.000 robots which will assemble smartphones in its factories and that Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), will be the first company to benefit from them. Based on the information provided by the CEO Foxconn it was assumed that iPhone 6 it will be assembled entirely by robots, but in reality things will be completely different.

According to a local publication, the robots purchased by those from Foxconn will be used as help for the company's employees, they will tighten screws, position components for polishing and that's it. Humans will continue to be responsible for important parts of the assembly process and product quality control, but things could change in the future.

Foxconn probably hopes that in the future it will be able to assemble a good part of a smartphone using robots in the idea of shipping the manufacturing process, but for now it seems that this is not feasible.
