During this evening the company Facebook has launched in the App Store application facebook mentions for iPhone, being specially designed for celebrities who use the social network. facebook mentions is currently in beta and is only available to verified stars who are active on Facebook, they can see mentions of fans, they can quickly share stories, pictures or videos and they can have conversations more easily.
Mentions is a new way for actors, athletes, musicians and other influencers to discover and join conversations on Facebook.

Facebook claims that the stars who tested the application interacted 2 times more with Facebook and with their own fans, which is practically the goal of the American company. facebook mentions it will keep the stars much more busy on Facebook and this will keep the fans busy with the social network, so Facebook basically tries to increase the activity of its network by betting on the stars that will attract their fans, the application being useless for those who are not verified by Facebook.
