According to some information obtained from sources from inside Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, the company is going to publicly offer for testing OS X Yosemite, this being the first time when Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), offers beta versions of an important operating system to the general public.
Although Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), initiated a program through which it offers a number of 1 million users the opportunity to test OS X Yosemite, now it will no longer be necessary to apply for it. Apple chose to wait until now to release a public beta version in the idea of being able to prepare a build that would be usable by regular Mac owners, OS X Yosemite beta 4 being the version that will be offered to everyone.
Of course, it is not advisable to install a beta build of this kind because it could prevent you from using Macs normally.
