Apple risks being sued because of the problems generated by the graphic cards of the MacBook Pro

Just a few weeks ago I told you that an increasing number of owners of MacBook Pro they complain about problems generated by the graphics cards implemented by the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), for these products. Unfortunately, the American company does not admit the existence of the problem in its own products, but soon could be forced by a court to investigate and recognize them, and then to pay compensation to the users affected by them.

Alerted to the pervasive failures concerning the 2011 MBP GPU's, we began an investigation leading us to your community. Your posts are a great source of information, but to determine if any legal claims may exist, we need your help. Please take a few minutes to complete the survey below.

Although some users have spent serious amounts of money to solve the problems, some of them reappear, so no less than 10.000 people have signed a petition asking Cupertino to solve the problem. Considering the large number of affected users, a law firm got involved to try to initiate a class action against those from Cupertino, but no one knows now if it will be filed or not.

No matter if Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), will it be taken to court or will it try to solve the problem outside of it, it is certain that for 4 years the American company ignored a problem that affects tens of thousands of people, the number being much higher than that of the people who signed the petition.
