Production initiated by those from TSMC it is a trial and the processors produced using one 16nm manufacturing process will be delivered to Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), for verification in order to implement in the iDevices that will be launched next year.

According to the information that appeared today, those from TSMC could produce most of the chips that would be implemented in the future iDevices, but everything depends on the initial production of the prototypes for the chip A9. For this trial production, TSMC could manufacture 50.000 units of the chip A9 for the Apple company, production will increase in the following quarters if Apple decides to use them.
