Apple is overtaken by Samsung in an important segment of the global smartphone market

In Q2 2014 the company Samsung managed to overcome Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), in an important segment of the global smartphone market on the back of an increase in the sale of LTE smartphones. Specifically, the company Samsung has sold 28.6 million LTE smartphones during this period, totaling 32.2% of the market, while Apple sold LTE smartphones that totaled only 31.9% of the market, the difference being the smallest.

The problem for Apple is that at the end of the previous fiscal quarter it sold LTE smartphones that amounted to 40.5% of the global market, so we are talking about an important decrease in sales. It was normal for Apple to lose the first position in this segment considering that the launch of the iPhone 6 is approaching, and in the third fiscal quarter of 2014 it is unlikely that things will change.
