Nokia HERE Maps for iPhone was withdrawn from App Store during this year by the company Nokia, she being dissatisfied with some rules imposed by the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), for the applications published in its store. Apparently overcoming this inconvenience, those from Nokia prepare to relaunch Nokia HERE Maps in App Store during this year, and the most interesting part is that the application and its offline browsing function will be available FREE OF CHARGE for us.
Those from Nokia claim that they do not intend to monetize the suite Maps HERE after the release for the iOS platform, but just trying to provide a viable alternative for Google Maps si Apple Maps. Considering that this seems hard to believe, we can expect that at some point Nokia will ask for money for certain functions or maps that can be downloaded from its servers, but until then, maybe Apple and Google will offer similar effective navigation solutions offline.
