Dropbox has a problem that could delete all your files

dropbox is the most popular file sharing service on the globe, hundreds of millions of users from all over the world using it to save a multitude of files in the cloud to access or download them quickly wherever they want. Unfortunately the service dropbox it has an extremely dangerous bug, confirmed by the company, which is capable of deleting a multitude of user files without offering the possibility of ever recovering them.

We received several reports from users who used a Dropbox feature called Selective Sync and couldn't locate certain files they'd saved in Dropbox. When we took a closer look, we discovered that older versions of the Dropbox client had introduced an issue affecting a small number of users whose Dropbox application shut down or restarted while users were applying Selective Sync settings.

Problem dropbox is in office Selective Sync and in certain versions of the desktop application, users which activates this function discovering that certain files are automatically deleted from their accounts. Dropbox says that although the problem exists, it affects a small number of users because recent versions of the application are not affected by the problem, so if you have an update to make for Dropbox for PC/Mac, it would be good to do it now.

Fortunately, the problem does not affect the Dropbox application for iPhone or iPad, so you can rest easy.
