Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), and Google managed to make two extremely popular operating systems, Android having the great advantage of being free to use by manufacturers, the very large number of terminals sold in Asia generating this colossal market share.
Although Apple has long lost the battle for market share in the smartphone segment, it remains to be seen how it will fare in the future against a seemingly unstoppable Android.
