iOS 9 – an IMPORTANT function is revealed by Apple cars!

iOS 9 performance stability

iOS 9 will be released in the fall of this year by Apple, a beta version will be available from the summer, and now we find out what important function the Apple company is preparing for it. Yesterday I presented you with a new one video clip in which a car rented by Apple drives around Florida with a multitude of cameras mounted on its ceiling. Last week it was speculated that it would be an autonomous car, but the presence of a driver who controlled it reveals the fact that Apple records images of locations in the US for a Street View system dedicated to Apple Maps.

iOS 9 brings Street View to Apple Maps

Implementing a module Street View for Apple Maps in iOS 9 it is not abolished at all hard to believe considering that Google has a similar function for Google Maps for years. Moreover, the cars rented by Apple have equipment extremely similar to that used by Google in its Street View cars, so we are talking about more than a coincidence. Adding to the evidence that Apple still does not have a registered license to test self-driving cars on American roads, we have a complete picture of what we will have in store. iOS 9.

Considering that the cars rented by Apple seem to travel only through the USA for now, it is clear that the Street View module for iOS 8 Apple Maps will be available only in this country. Since Apple limited the FlyOver 3D system only to the US at first, it is not at all difficult to believe that Street View will be launched under exactly the same conditions for us. Having said that, one of the big surprises of iOS 9 for Apple Maps will be a Street View module dedicated to Americans, which will be extended to other countries in the future.

Separately, Apple intends to implement in iOS 9 a mapping system in buildings, but we will talk about that in another article.
