Apple TV 4 with Siri, App Store and A8 chip will be presented at WWDC 2015

Apple TV 4

Apple TV 4 with Siri, App Store and an A8 chip will be presented by the Apple company at WWDC 2015, after more than two years of waiting for a successor to the popular Apple TV to be launched on the market with better functions and improved hardware. According to sources from Apple, the American company intends to present the product at WWDC 2015 together with an SDK that will allow developers to create special applications for it.

Applications will be available in an App Store dedicated to Apple TV 4, the product will also have a storage medium larger than the standard one of 8 GB in order to be able to store the new data necessary for the operation of the applications. As for the integration with Siri, it is made with the idea of giving us the possibility to control Apple TV 4 using voice commands, so the already classic Apple remote control will become history, our voices will start playing videos, make searches or open various applications.

A successor to its dusty and recently discounted Apple TV set top box is headed to market as well. Apple intends to show off the device at its annual World Wide Developers Conference in June. Sources say Apple's new Apple TV is a significant overhaul of the device, one intended to undergird Apple's vision of what the TV viewing experience should be. As for the new Apple TV box itself, expect an updated design and new innards: the company's latest A8 system-on-chip — or a variant of it: a dramatic increase in on-board storage to accommodate apps — well beyond the 8GB in the current device; and an improved operating system that will support Siri voice control of Apple TV, and enable it remotely for a selection of Homekit-enabled home automation devices.

Also using Siri we will be able to control certain functions of the HomeKit system, which allows us to control various smart objects in our homes, so that closing the lights, doors, music, etc., can be done directly from Apple TV with the Siri assistant. All these news will be presented during WWDC 2015, but Apple intends to launch Apple TV 4 on the market only during this summer, it may cost $99, that is the old price of the current product.
