application WhatsApp Messenger was updated last night and I already told you about the function of VoIP calls or about the option to disable read receipts, so now we are talking about another function implemented by the WhatsApp company, it being called share sheets and allowing the sharing of content from other applications of the operating system using WhatsApp Messenger, but without accessing this application beforehand.
Normally the sharing of content through the application WhatsApp Messenger requires opening the application, accessing a conversation with a contact, pressing the share button and choosing the type of content we want to share, but starting last night the procedure is much simpler and no matter what application you use, if it has content that can be sent through WhatsApp, you will be able to do it quickly.
How do I send pictures, videos or links via WhatsApp Messenger with share sheets?
Before you can benefit from this new simplified content sharing system, you will have to activate the option for WhatsApp Messenger, and to do this follow the steps below:
- Access any application in which you have photos/videos or Safari.
- Press the content sharing button, it being centrally positioned in the Safari browser.
- From the new menu, choose the Other option, if it does not appear, scroll from left to right to display it.
- Now check WhatsApp Messenger and press the OK button.
Good, I have activated the quick share option a WhatsApp Messenger, but how will the procedure continue when we want to do the actual sharing? Well, choosing the WhasApp Messenger icon will automatically open a menu in which you can choose a conversation from the list of WhatsApp Messenger conversations, the choice of conversation taking you directly to the sharing menu.
In this menu you will see for photos and video clips editing options by rotating or cutting, a message can be attached to the multimedia content that will be seen by your friends, and if you want to give up the procedure completely, then you can press the Cancel button , or you can press the trash can icon, which will basically do the same thing.
For links you will see a simpler menu that only displays a window in which you have available the selected link for sharing and the option to write a message to your friends, so in this situation everything is much simpler than you would have expected imagined.
In conclusion, WhatsApp Messenger benefits from these functions half a year after the release of iOS 8, but at least we finally have them available.
