Snake arrives on the iPhone under the name Snake Rewind, a former Nokia company engineer proposing to offer not only iDevice owners, but all smartphone owners the opportunity to enjoy his famous game developed many years ago. Snake Rewind is the name of the smartphone version of the old Snake, the developers almost completely redoing the game to give it a more modern look, but also to modify the control system so that it can be used on the touch screens of the newest smartphones -hate.
I assume that many of you already know the game Snake from your old Nokia terminals, Snake Rewind being scheduled for release in the App Store on May 14, it being developed by Rumilus Design and Taneli Armanto. The latter is the Nokia engineer who created the game and introduced it to the Nokia 6110 in 1997, his love for the title is now available on smartphones and tablets in 2015, but in a better version.
Snake Rewind is presented fully in the video clip below and notice that we are talking, in general, about the same type of action that made it famous on Nokia terminals, but with some improvements to make it more attractive. In this version we will have power ups for the fulfillment of certain objectives and the color that was missing in the Nokia terminals, so theoretically it should be about a much better gaming experience.
However, apart from these, the main change in Snake Rewind is the possibility to bring the snake back to life in case it dies, a point system being used to give us this option. Next, we have a multiplayer module that will allow us to compete with various people from around the world, Game Center integration, themes, 10 new levels, a new sound background, new graphic effects and much, much more.
Snake Rewind is announced to be an extremely interesting game and although it is not yet known if it will be available for free based on the freemium model or if it will have to be purchased, there will certainly be many people interested in it.
