Facebook is preparing an important change for the dedicated iPhone application

Facebook logoFacebook is preparing a major change for the application available for iPhone, iPad and our iPod Touches, it is currently being tested by American employees, company partners and some of the normal users. We are talking about an internal search engine developed by Facebook for users, which will allow users to more easily add links to various content available on the network, but also outside it.

The function is called Add a Link and it is visible in the menu for sharing statuses, more precisely in the section dedicated to inserting pictures, video clips or applying tags for locations. In the image below you can see the option, those from Facebook mainly thinking about it to allow users to share links to internal content more easily.

Alongside buttons to add photos or locations, some iOS users are seeing a new "Add A Link" option. Just punch in a query, and Facebook will show a list of matching links you might want to share, allow you to preview what's on those sites, and let you tap one to add it to your status with a caption or share statement.

After accessing the option add a link users will take in front, an interface that includes a search box for searching internal content, that is, statuses published by various users or websites. Separately, Facebook will also allow the introduction of links to external content that will be combined with various texts that we will be able to write, accessing the entire content without leaving the Facebook application.

Facebook add a link

Basically, Facebook is trying to implement new methods to keep users even longer in the application for mobile terminals, but it remains to be seen how successful it will be, considering that not all the changes implemented by Facebook have been praised by users.

At the moment, the add a link option is only being tested and it is not known when it will be publicly offered, but it is clear that Facebook intends to implement it globally at one point or another.
