The largest Apple Store in the world will be opened in Dubai by the company Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC),, the store is going to receive its first customers starting with August of this year, it is going to occupy a commercial space of over 17.000 square meters. Apple Store Dubai is going to be the first store of the American company in the Middle East and what location could be better than the Mall of the Emirates, the largest mall in the world with hundreds of stores and various other commercial spaces.
At the moment, the Covent Garden Apple Store in London is the largest Apple Store in the world, with an occupied commercial area of over 13.000 square meters, so the store in Dubai will be 20% larger. Having such a large commercial space in a mall visited by some of the richest people on the planet, the Apple company could also have a serious growth in sales thanks for the openness.
Apple's first store in the Middle East will be located at the Mall of the Emirates and it will be the world's largest retail store of the iPhone maker, sources have confirmed to Khaleej Times. The store is under construction and it is expected to open doors to Apple fans in August 2015. The estimated 50,000-sq foot store is close to the new Fashion District in the mall with the main entrance most probably from level 2.
Tim Cook visited Dubai in February of last year and then the first rumors regarding the opening of an Apple Store appeared, they intensified in August of last year, but now we have concrete data. To be honest, it is surprising that Apple has not yet opened an Apple Store in one of the most visited locations in Dubai, but this will be "solved" starting in August.
