Android Pay – the new mobile payment service of Android M

Android Pay in Android MAndroid Pay is the new mobile payment service of Android M, the company Google announcing it during this day in the framework Google I/O 2015, representing a new attempt to convince users to make mobile payments. The success of Apple Pay motivated Samsung to develop Samsung Pay, and in the case of Google we are talking about Android Pay implemented in Android M, those from Google choosing a way of presenting the name that is extremely similar to the one chosen by the Apple company.

Android Pay will allow merchants to integrate Google's APIs directly into their own applications to allow the authorization and execution of mobile payments, thus eliminating traditional payment processors. To ensure that it is successful in the US, Google has concluded agreements with AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile in order to implement Android Pay in NFC-compatible terminals sold on the market.

Basically, Google is forced to launch this system in order to have an answer to Apple Pay, this following the failure generated by Google Wallet, most users avoiding it. Now it remains to be seen whether Android Pay will prove to be successful or not, but there is little chance that it will surpass Apple Pay in the near future in terms of the number of transactions processed.
