iPhone – the keyboard specially designed for the opposable finger

opposable keyboard concept 2iPhones have a virtual keyboard that was designed to be used either with both hands or with one hand, depending on the orientation in which we use the terminal in various moments of everyday life. Many users have complained about the fact that using the virtual keyboard is difficult in most cases, but if we think about 6 iPhone Plus and the 5.5 inch screen, then things get even more complicated, especially when it comes to using it in landscape mode, tilted.

To solve this problem, a designer had the idea of creating a keyboard specially designed for the opposable finger, it being extremely easy to use, especially in portrait mode. In the images of this article you can see the keyboard imagined by him, it can be controlled only with the opposite finger, simply selecting the center and sliding the finger towards the desired letters or options controlling everything.

The keyboard is a complex and multi-faceted challenge and as thoughtfully designed as some of the new solutions in the market might be. The hardest challenge remains: the transition from the legacy model we're so used to into a new one. I played with the idea of a keyboard thought (out) for the thumb. A keyboard requiring only a single tap and some short swiping to construct words and sentences.

The idea behind the keyboard is interesting and if I were a company developing third-party keyboards for the iPhone, I would seriously look at it for implementation in a future version of my application. The Apple company will never implement something like this, so you don't even have to think about it, even though a keyboard like this would be very useful.

What do you think about the keyboard made especially for the opposable finger?
