Despite this, a user suggested me a trick to download music for offline listening from Apple Music, and after several attempts I managed to find a relatively stable method to download music from Apple Music artists' albums to listen to offline.

How do I save music for offline listening in Apple Music

Despite Apple's limitations, following the tips below you will be able to save music for offline listening in Apple Music, but you will need patience to complete the entire procedure because you will have to repeat the same steps many times for everything to work.

  1. Open the Music application, Music of iOS 8.4.
  2. Accessed the section For You, For you.
  3. Choose the album of your favorite band and access the song list.
  4. Start playing the song you want to download.
  5. Press the button on the right side of the song and choose the option Make available offline, save offlineThen press Ok in the alert message.
  6. Press the button on the right side of the song and choose the option Add to your Music, Add to My Music, then press Ok in the alert message.
  7. After the second operation, you should see the icon of an iPhone next to the song and it should be available offline, otherwise repeat steps 5-6 in the same order, playing the song is not mandatory.

I know that the procedure is not simple and unfortunately sometimes it doesn't work the first time, but I managed to do it multiple times to save multiple songs from different albums, so it works in this format, without the option to activate iCloud Music Library, the iCloud music library.

Although the songs are saved offline and can be played offline, you need an internet connection to access the For You section of the Music application and implicitly the desired album, since the songs are not visible in the My Music section, because the procedure has based on a bug of the application.

  4. Yes, you can't find them absolutely anywhere in the terminal, only in that menu. When you deactivate the Internet connection, only the songs that have that phone icon next to them will appear in the menu as available for listening.

  5. iTunes match is something else. It has nothing to do with iCloud Music Library. The two are similar, the last one including the services from the first one, but the problem here in RO has to do with the Apple servers, still, and the activation of the apple music service entirely on the account. At least that's what someone said on the site here after a discussion with apple support US.

  6. The problem is that they have blocked offline saving for us and it is probably related to iTunes Match + the impossibility of re-downloading the music bought from iTunes.
    If you buy music from iTunes and you can no longer download it from Purchased, it is quite logical that you cannot download songs from Apple Music offline, at least not without this trick.

  10. Yes, because abroad it's just a problem with Apple's servers, in Romania it seems to be more complicated with the lack of iTunes Match... I hope I'm wrong too, but...

  12. I don't think so, in India Apple Music is 2 dollars and they have iTunes Match. I think it's a matter of licenses for music.
    It's interesting that in Hungary they don't have Beats 1 Radio, although Zane Lowe greets the Hungarians :)))

  15. I also see the icon, but the songs are not saved.... I kind of gave up on the idea... It's a pity that Apple "forces" us to continue using jailbreak methods.... Apple Music was a good and beautiful idea, but at the current stage it's kind of useless.

  16. Yeah. after another phone conversation with Apple UK, it seems that because we don't have itunes in the cloud in this country, iCloud music library doesn't work either. What more can I say, I'm just waiting for the opportunity to leave the country because it's already a village. I for one am not getting my hopes up, and at this stage Deezer has something extra, you can save to listen offline. Even at EUR 5, which is Apple Music in Romania, if you can't save offline, for example for the road when you go somewhere on vacation and you don't have internet or traffic, it's not worth it. Just for streaming it's really not worth it.
    Better not to launch the subscriptions in Romania at all than to launch them with, I think, the most important feature absent.

    It works :). Set from settings to on (Icloud music library) and it works to save and access music offline directly from the application 🙂

    I downloaded at least 3 albums and 15 songs that I see in My music

  29. Well, when I tell you... But all I did was check iCloud music library, enter the music app, it reset my account, that is, I had to go through the same steps with selecting the subscription, artists and genres of music and after that I was able to I do everything I wanted.

  30. for now I stay on Deezer. it's way better. I expected more from Apple. it doesn't even compare to Deezer yet. And the iPad application is cabbage. it freezes continuously. I hope they update it soon.

Tunein radio allows you to listen to music online in huge quantities and incredibly high variability and to save everything your heart desires offline, whole hours of radio that you can then listen to offline. Not songs one by one, who would have time to save one by one and then listen to exactly those...
    Maybe I don't understand the philosophy behind apple music, but it doesn't make sense to me. It would be more useful to be able to download from YouTube with some application and from there listen offline to songs chosen by us. There the variety is much greater than on this apple music facade. Should I still give 5 euros?...I'm not in any way against pirated music, but if you give Apple 5 euros and listen to the music online, isn't it pirated? Is it called that you bought the album from the producer?

  32. Sound quality above any application available so far on any mobile platform. You can clearly hear each individual instrument. Crystal voice. Still uniform, the Lives are really live. I'm tired of Kbp variations that scratch my ear. It's a pity that it is not optimized for Ro.
