Apple was sued because of the iWatch

iWatchiWatch is the name rumored by most of the world for Apple Watch before this smart watch from the Apple company was officially presented, but after September 2014 it was mainly forgotten by many people.

For those who have not yet understood that iWatch it is not the name of an Apple product, those from Cupertino bought ads in the search engine Google Search and directed people to the page Apple Watch when they were looking for information about iWatch.

The problem for the Apple company is as a brand iWatch it is protected by a patent by a company in Ireland, and now it has sued Apple because it allegedly promoted it improperly to direct users to the page Apple Watch of his website.

Because Apple does not own the rights to the brand in Europe, Probendi filed a lawsuit in a court in Milan to prevent its use in advertisements, and then he could ask for compensation for the illegal use so far.

Probendi talked to Google about the problem and those from Mountain View said that they are not responsible for Apple's actions, while Apple was warned not to use the brand to promote its watch, but of course it did not want to heed the warning.

Apple never replied to our requests and objections, while Google said they are not responsible for links. Apple has systematically used iWatch wording on Google search engine in order to direct customers to its own website, advertising Apple Watch,

According to an audit done for the iWatch brand, it would have a value of approximately 87 million euros, so Apple could be forced to pay substantial damages if a court finds it guilty of the unauthorized use of the iWatch brand to promote the Apple Watch .

The company Probendi initiated a project for the development of a smartwatch under the name iWatch, but it was suspended, but maybe with the money that could be won from Apple, it could reach the market someday.
