Siri email transcriptApple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), develop a system called iCloud Voicemail will allow the assistant Siri to transcribe voice messages for phone calls that we cannot answer, they will most likely be read by us in one of the iOS applications.

At the moment, users have to listen to the voice messages left by the people whose calls are not accepted, but in a year Apple intends to launch this system based on iCloud Voicemail which will allow the assistant Crab to transcribe the messages.

Considering that many people still leave voice messages when their call is not accepted by the called person, the Apple company thinks that it can simplify the procedure of listening to them, especially when we are in a situation where we cannot listen audio recording of the message.

iCloud Voicemail transcribes voice messages through Siri

The system developed by Crab that transcribes voice messages is now being tested by a limited number of Apple employees, and if they determine that Siri correctly understands the words and writes the messages correctly, then the system will be launched in iOS 10.

The system iCloud Voicemail it works with the help of US mobile phone operators for now and it works because the voice message left in the operator's servers is automatically sent to Apple's servers for transcription in order to display the text to users.

When someone using iCloud Voicemail is unable to take a call, Siri will answer instead of letting the call go to a standard digital audio recorder. iCloud Voicemail can relay information about where you are and why you can't pick up the phone to certain people. But the coolest feature of the service is that Siri will transcribe any incoming voicemails, just like it does with anything else you say to it.

Moreover, iCloud Voicemail can provide the caller with information about our location and the reason why we could not accept that call, so everything will also depend on the cooperation of mobile operators.

Considering that Siri understands few languages around the world, this iCloud Voicemail system will only be launched in the countries where Siri is officially offered, so Romania will probably not be among them if Apple does not provide support for the Romanian language in Siri until next year when iOS 10 will be released.
