Facebook has launched Instant Articles

Facebook Instant ArticlesFacebook has launched Instant Articles during this day for iPhones, iPads and iPod Touches around the world, the function being offered in beta version for almost half a year only for Americans, but starting today it is available worldwide without updating the application Facebook for iOS.

As I told you a few months ago, Facebook Instant Articles allows the extremely fast loading of some articles published by certain press trusts around the world, mainly from the USA, the articles being loaded in the native interface of the Facebook application just like any other menu.

Everything is based on a new technology used by Facebook which involves retrieving all the information about articles from the affiliated publishers' websites and displaying them directly in a native interface of the Facebook application, loading the content almost immediately.

Practically through Facebook Instant Articles wants the various big or small publications to stop sending users to their own websites but to keep everything active in its social network, users no longer having to leave the mobile application. Of course, this would seriously increase the rate of use of Facebook worldwide, but the problem is that the various content creators remain without users and implicitly without money.

INSTANT ARTICLES ALSO INTRODUCES A FEW NEW FEATURES THAT ALLOW PUBLISHERS TO MAKE THEIR ARTICLES MORE INTERACTIVE. YOU CAN TILT YOUR PHONE TO ZOOM IN AND EXPLORE HIGH RESOLUTION PHOTOS. AUTO-PLAY VIDEOS WILL 'COME ALIVE' AS YOU SCROLL THROUGH STORIES. YOU CAN ALSO EXPLORE INTERACTIVE MAPS, LISTEN TO AUDIO CAPTIONS, AS WELL AS LIKE AND COMMENT ON INDIVIDUAL PARTS OF AN ARTICLE IN-LINE.

As I told you above, Instant Articles for Facebook is now offered worldwide, but the list of publishers is extremely limited, so only certain newspapers and very large websites offer content through this new system for now.

The articles offered through Instant Articles are marked in the upper right part of their main picture with a lightning bolt icon, they are automatically displayed for everyone, without activating any settings or updating the Facebook application.
