Orange announces the financial results for Q3 2015Orange announced today financial results for Q3 2015, the mobile phone operator experiencing increases in all important segments, as expected considering the evolution of the Romanian market.

According Orange Romania, number of Orange TV subscribers reached 250.000, 4G data traffic increased 6 times compared to the same period of 2014, the revenues in this quarter being 243.2 million euros, 7% higher than in the same period last year.

From the beginning of the year to the present, Orange Romania recorded revenues of 697 million euros, 3.2% more than in the same period last year, the number of customers reaching 10.284.000, with 79.000 customers more than in the quarter previous.

Bucharest, October 22, 2015. Orange Group announces today its financial results for the third quarter of 2015, valid on September 30.

The revenues recorded by Orange Romania in the third quarter of this year were 243,2 million, registering a 7% increase compared to the third quarter of 2014. Since the beginning of this year, the company's revenues have totaled 697 million, up by 3,2% compared to the same period last year.

On September 30, 2015, Orange Romania had 10.284.000 of customers. 79.000 more Romanians chose the Orange network compared to the previous quarter.

The Orange TV service has had a constant evolution both in terms of the number of users and in terms of content and innovation. Currently over 250 000 of subscribers have access to Orange programs on TV. Also, the channel portfolio has been improved by adding new TV stations. In July, a new version of the TV Go app for Android was released with an improved design and new features. The Orange TV stick, launched in June, was well received by the market, this innovation also winning the award in the "Best customer premise technology" section at IBC Amsterdam.

4G mobile internet traffic increased by 60% compared to the second quarter of 2015 and 6 times compared to the same period last year. Orange has the most extensive 4G network in Romania with 96% coverage for the urban population and 71% for the national population (over 4200 localities), the sustained performance of the network being confirmed by the new results of the Netograf application from ANCOM. In Bucharest, a major project to increase network capacity by 50% was just completed in September.

In the last month of the third quarter, Orange announced news in both the subscription portfolio and innovations. The new portfolio of subscriptions, which brings as a novelty in addition to the individual subscriptions the packages  Orange Family and Orange Share, proves to be very attractive both for existing customers and for those who now choose Orange. The new subscriptions were accompanied, among others, by the new Orange smartphones dedicated to all types of customers: Orange Klif, Orange Dive 30 and Orange Dive 70. Also, the premiere launch of the dedicated portfolio for companies with a maximum of 2 employees,Orange Pro, was very well received by the market and a success right from the start. Innovations include the external battery, Power Up, and the service 4G call which brings customers the fastest 4G network call connection and HD sound quality while maintaining the fastest net browsing experience.

In the third quarter of the year, the number of 4G smartphoneswas sold almost double compared to sales in the third quarter of 2014, and sales of 4G tablets were of 4 times bigger.
